  • Tbh I'm not completely sure what I think about this show. At first I didn't know whether I liked it or not but now I'm certain this show was kind off... boring?

The animation is top notch, it's very smooth and the colors are vibrant, which goes very well with the theme and ofc it makes for an amazing watch experience. I'd also like to mention how well animated the fight scenes are! I'm guilty of rewatching the last episode multiple times just for the fight scene (and the ending which you'll read about later on in the review)!

The show progressed too fast, which lead to poor execution of Shankars idea which makes me really sad and dissapointed. The show had some little potential and it couldn't be properly executed in 6 25 minute episodes. This made the story so fast paced to the point where new characters were being introduced and killed off in the same episode and 20 minutes is not enough to get emotionally attached to a character so you could actually feel hurt by their death.

I think some aspects of the show where solely for shock value I know it's a 16+ show but some of it was so unnecessary and I dislike that a lot. Too much unnecessary nudity and maybe too much gore tho I do kinda liked that aspect as a way of showing how brutal it is to live in Eden, but I see why it's an issue. While were at the topic of the corruption of Eden I really like how direct they actually were when discussing serious IRL problems like fascism and racism, it's really hard to miss these moments. The only overuse of adult themes I aprove of is whatever they did with Rayman, it was comedy gold. Never in my life have I thought I'd see Rayman snorting coke and killing people but it was a canon thing in the show.

The ending was overwhelming, it took me another watch to actually proccess it. I don't think I'd be nearly as satisfied with any other ending other than this. I've been non-stop babbling about this to my friends, I just love how it ended so much. The thing about the ending that I didn't appreciate was the "cliff hanger" we were left on. If it's an indicator that there will be a season 2 then I'm even more dissapointed because I seriosly think the ending we have now is the best option we could have.

EDIT: a few months later I'm a changed person and dear Lord this show was not as special as I thought it was. It's cringe, like really cringe.

Rating: 6/10 toxic old man yaoi plus mediocre poorly executed story,, IDK I wouldn't watch it again for sure.

  • So freaking cringe. Like painfully cringe. Which is very sad bc the actors were genuenly good at their roles it's just that the show itself is so painfull to watch. Watching this show is like that scene in "Clockwork Orange" when Alex is strapped to that machine that holds his eyes open. It's bad but also God I need to see what happens next. Idk felt like a waste of time.

3/10 are you a Tumblr user? If so you might actually enjoy this. (No hate to tumblr users it's just that from what I've seen Tumblr has the biggest fandom for this show)

  • I have nothing much to say about this except that it's actually hilarious and I think a huge part of why it is so funny is the voice acting. Honestly I love this show it's probably gonna become my comfort show. Favourite episode has to be the shrimp one I actually started wheezing a few times watching it.

10/10 I recommend this one to anyone (over the age of 16!) it's good, it's actually really funny, it's bizzare and it doesn't take itself too seriously.
